Today, there is an ever-increasing emphasis on color and aesthetics in the construction industry. J. SUSSMAN, INC. has developed two new lines of church window systems to help meet this demand. J. SUSSMAN, INC. now has the ability to produce windows with different colors and finishes to the exterior and interior. This is achieved with the use of the Thermal Strip System©. Two different aluminum extrusions can be finished independent of each other and then joined together with two thermal strips. The result is a stronger thermally improved window with different colors and finishes inside and out.

The thermal strip is a specially formulated and constructed extrusion of glass fiber reinforced 6/6 polyamide nylon. Besides being thermally efficient, these high strength strips have the same coefficient of expansion as aluminum so that the structural integrity of the window is intact.

The width of the thermal strip can vary to increase the thermal efficiency, reduce noise transmission and increase the depth and strength of the window.

This time tested and proven system has shown no ill effects when exposed to various cleaners and detergents normally associated with the fenestration industry.

Note: Because of the custom nature of this system, it requires longer lead times and should be used for larger jobs.
